October Favourites!

Hiiii, Welcome to my blog! As you can tell, this is my first post. I thought it would be appropriate to have my first post in October since it is my birthday month and my favourite season; fall! (WOOHOO! LEAVESSS and BURGUNDY!)

This October, I tried out some new products and I will give you a sense of what I loved and why I loved them. Here's a sneak peek!

Lavanilla: The Healthy Deodorant (Vanilla Lavender)

This deodorant is perfect for the cooler weather! It's very moisturizing and keeps those pits at bay throughout the day. I wouldn't go for a workout using this, but it's more suited for everyday use. I love this deodorant because the ingredients used to make it are all natural. There's no aluminum, no parabens, no propylene glycol and no harsh chemicals. I have pretty sensitive armpits and it works really well for me!

:) You would LOVE it if you have sensitive armpits (keeps them moisturized and not irritated!)
:( You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you need extra protection in the pits! (doesn't give you clinical-grade protection)

L'oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur

This product can be a bit confusing because it doesn't really say its use in your makeup routine. This is actually a primer (a pretty good one!) It is a clear silicone textured primer and really does a great job at filling in the pores. There are 2 versions of this; oil-free and the original. I've never tried the original, but the oil-free one is great!  It does a great job at blurring out any bumps, pore or fine lines.

:) You would LOVE it if you have fine lines, pores, or bumps you want to blur out
:( You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you don't like the silicon texture as a base

Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer

This concealer is definitely a cheaper dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Skin one! I love this especially for under my eyes, but I use it on my whole face too. I came across this concealer when I went into Sephora looking for the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and they were out of my shade. The person at Sephora showed me this concealer and put it under my eyes to show me how nice it felt under the eyes and I instantly fell in love! I've been using it ever since and have been raving about it to everyone around me. It's definitely on the more moisturizing side of concealers, so you need to set this with a setting powder. It's been doing wonders for my dry under-eye area!

:) You would LOVE it if you have dry under eyes and need something that will cover those dreaded dark circles up! It does not dry your under-eyes at all.
:( You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you have oily/combo skin and are using it for your face or if you're someone who doesn't set your concealer.

L'oreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray

This setting spray is definitely comparable to the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray, except that it's half the price! It works well as a setting spray, but also to intensify your eyeshadows. I find that it really does prolong the wear of my makeup.

:) You would LOVE it if you have problems with your makeup slipping and sliding halfway through the day.
:( You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you have very oily skin as this spray gives you more of a natural finish (try an oil-controlling primer instead!)

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel (Extra-Dry Skin)

This is the best daytime moisturizer ever! It's great for the daytime because it sinks in the second you apply it to your face. I love this because it really keeps my skin moisturized throughout the day without feeling tacky or sticky. It takes a couple of minutes to fully sink into the skin, but after that, your skin will feel sooo soft! It's not oily whatsoever. I love to  apply it after I wash my face and my face is still damp because it locks in the moisture really well.

You would LOVE this any skin type because there's no oil in it. Even if you have oily skin, your face will just soak up the moisture.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Skin Perfector (Champagne Pop)

This is just the perfect highlight and I kid you not; you only need the slightest amount. It's a warmer highlighter and it's perfect for any skin tone. You really only need to tap your brush on this VERY lightly and you have enough for your face.

:) You would LOVE it if you want that extra glow on your face (it's beautiful!)
:( You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you have oily skin and don't want any extra shine on your face (though it does give a very nice and natural glow)

Fresh: Sugar Lychee Perfume

I know this bottle is still pretty full (I actually just got it a few days ago), but I am in love with it! I can't get enough of it. I put it on in the morning today and later on in the day, I went into Sephora just to smell it again! It's a very fresh and light, but also kind of citrus and sweet scent. It's unlike any scent I've ever come across! If you ever go by a Sephora, go in and just take a whiff of this. It is AMAZING! I think this is going to become my signature scent soon.

:) You would LOVE this if you like light and fruity scents.
:( You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you're into deeper, spicier, or musky scents.

Real Techniques: Deluxe Crease Brush

This is the most versatile (small) brush ever! It's made to be for your eyes, but honestly, I use it as a concealer brush for under eyes and my face! This brush is very similar to the Sephora Pro Airbrush Concealer brush (which is $40 CAN). This brush comes in a set of 4 real techniques brushes that can be found for around $20 CAN. This really is worth it. I have both of these brushes and they work very similar to me. Obviously the Sephora brush feels more luxurious when used on the face, but the results are very comparable.

:) You would LOVE this if you need a cheaper alternative for a concealer brush (and you get 3 more brushes on top of this one in the set!)
You could LIVE WITHOUT it if you have a preference of makeup sponges for your makeup application.
