Fall Makeup Haul & First Impressions

Hello everyone! I'm sorry for my week of being MIA. My laptop was stolen and wasn't able to post so here's an extra long post to make up for it.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the products I have bought the past few days. Some of these were impulsive buys, but most of them, I had my eye on for a long time and finally decided to try them out.

NYX Single Eyeshadows

My first impression of these eyeshadows are pretty good. From left to right the shades are: Stiletto (pale peachy pink), Raven (black with very subtle shimmer), and Sin (shimmering pinky champagne). The eyeshadows turned out pretty pigmented for being $6 CAN (swatches below). I wanted to try these out, especially the shimmery shade on the right because I wanted to see if the quality could compare to higher end eyeshadows. So far, I'd say the pigmentation is not bad at all, although they can be slightly chalky. I'd suggest you to work in moderation and build up the colour rather than try to achieve the fully pigmented colour at one go.

Albeit Lipsticks (From Anthropologie)

Honestly, I bought these because of the packaging. How adorable and luxurious do they look in the sleek gold bullets? They're super pigmented too and I'd say they last quite a while, especially if you use the right lipliner under them! The pinky-coral shade is in (INSERT SHADE) and the darker one, perfect for the fall time is called "Violette". Check out my Instagram to see it in action!

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

All the rave about this foundation is so true! It really is a medium coverage foundation that feels soooo light on the skin. It doesn't feel like you're wearing any foundation at all. It's very moisturizing and for my normal skin, I don't need to set it with a powder because it dries to a skin-like finish. It's not completely matte, but not super luminous either. It's really the best of both worlds. This foundation blends so well and looks very natural; it does not look cakey at all! I would recommend this if you want coverage without looking like you're wearing a lot of makeup.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

I've had my eye on Makeup Geek eyeshadows for the longest time because I've heard so many people rave about how pigmented they are and how they compare to MAC eyeshadows. I finally got myself to order some of them online and as you can tell, I'm in love with neutral shades. These are by far the most creamy and pigmented eyeshadows I've ever tried (including the few MAC ones I own). For the price, these are SO WORTH IT! They are $6 US. I got a few different kinds of eye shadow to try it out. I bought they original eyeshadows, a couple of their foiled eyeshadows, one of their duochrome eyeshadows, and one of their loose pigments (See swatches below). The only eyeshadow that I wasn't impressed with was the duochrome one in "I'm Peachless". This shadow was not pigmented at all, as you can tell in the swatch and it was very chalky when I swatched it.

Fresh Sugar Lychee Perfume
I know I talked about this in my favourites, but it really has become my signature scent! It will probably smell a bit different on you depending on how it blends with your body chemistry. But I love the way it blends with mine and it doesn't smell weird at all (as some perfumes can totally blend weird with your original body scent).

Maybelline Lash Sensational
I was always a fan of the L'oreal Telescopic mascara and never used anything else but that mascara. I then heard about this new mascara by Maybelline. At first, I didn't like it, but once I got used to the brush, it made my lashes  so much longer and voluminous! It was amazing. I use the waterproof formula or else it would end up all over my face and my lashes cannot hold a curl for life!

L'oreal Sublime Radiance Cleansing Oil
By far, the best cleansing oil I've ever used. I used the Garnier cleansing oil before I came across this cleansing oil. I didn't LOVE that cleansing oil, but it was the most practical (price-wise and it worked). I LOVE this L'oreal cleansing oil because it does not leave an oily residue on your face at all. It's a very light oil, so it doesn't feel like there's a layer of oil after you've cleansed your face with it. It gets off all my waterproof mascara, too!!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
This sleeping mask really hydrates my normal to dry skin especially now hat it's getting dryer and closer to winter. I love this mask and I use it about 2-3 times a week. I would recommend using this after you exfoliate so that your skin just drinks this up. The consistency of this is like a gel, so not to worry about it feeing sticky or anything. Just go to bed like normal and wash your face in morning and your skin will fee so plump!
